NEES Grad Student Pens EFRC Newsletter Article on Metastable Materials

UMD grad student Alex Pearse, student of NEES PI and director Gary Rubloff, has joined the editorial board of "Frontiers in Energy Research". His first story, "Getting Meta: Understanding Metastable Materials through Data Mining" was published in the summer 2017 edition of the newsletter. The article is about work done through another EFRC, the Center for Next Generation of Materials by Design: Incorporating Metastability. Pearse describes findings about simple and complex meta stable materials, generated by computational simulation of materials at the atomic level to predict both stable and metastable compounds.
